“Wages of Spin II,” ,the sequel to "WAGES OF SPIN", a story of the early payloa scandals, features many interviews
with famous performers and prominent leaders in the music business.
“Wages of Spin II,” written by Shawn
Swords and John Monroe and directed by Swords, continues to explore the
inner workings of the recording industry and the relationships between
record labels, promo men, radio programmers, organized crime and the
government. The film, which has a two-hour running time, focuses on the
Philly and national music scene from the 1970s through the 1990s. “Wages
of Spin II” features music by local musicians Pat Manley (producer of
the Bazaar of All Nations documentary), John Byrne, Dan Brown of
Springfield, Bobby Eli (a Grammy award winning musician and founding
member and lead guitarist of Philadelphia studio band MFSB) and Mitch
Schecter (guitarist for the band The Rip Chords).
